Today we start off with 3 reviews. Since I just read these 3 this past week, I figured I'd combine them.
Wake, Fade, and Gone
by Lisa McMann

Wake.
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Pu
                                                              Date: December 23, 2008
Edition: Bk. 1
N13: 9781416974475
ISBN: 1416974474
BINC: 9682899
For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a liftime.
She can't tell anybody about what she does- they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the finge, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can't control.
Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, on that chills her to the bong. For the first time. Janie is more then a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant....

Fade
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Pu
Date: January 05, 2010
Edition: Bk. 2
ISBN13: 9781416974482
ISBN: 1416974482
BINC: 9960815
For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. They're just trying to carve out a little (secret) time together, but no such luck.
Disturbing things are happening at Fieldridge High, yet nobody's talking. When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open — but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behavior has grave consequences for them both.
Worse yet, Janie learns the truth about herself and her ability — and it's bleak. Seriously, brutally bleak. Not only is her fate as a dream catcher sealed, but what's to come is way darker than she'd feared....

Gone
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Pu
Date: January 04, 2011
ISBN13: 9781416979210
ISBN: 1416979212
BINC: 3219997
Janie thought she knew what her future held. And she thought she’d made her peace with it. But she can’t handle dragging Cabel down with her.
She knows he will stay with her, despite what she sees in his dreams. He’s amazing. And she’s a train wreck. Janie sees only one way to give him the life he deserves—she has to disappear. And it’s going to kill them both.
Then a stranger enters her life—and everything unravels. The future Janie once faced now has an ominous twist, and her choices are more dire than she’d ever thought possible. She alone must decide between the lesser of two evils. And time is running out....

If your anything like me, I will sadly admit.... I will at times judge a book by it's cover...not saying I'm proud of it, but if the cover catches my eye I'll linger on said book a little longer.

So first impression; I love the covers. I love the soft dullness to them. And how the one name and the picture sums up each book sort of speak. I aelso lov how they picked the one color for each book.

I really liked this concept of a dream catcher being sucked into other peoples dreams. There is a decent amount of cursing and some inappropriateness at times, but not nearly as bad as other books. The writing is decent, and is written like a journal in a way with date and time stamps.
In Wake you find Janie has the ability to jump into dreams. This is also where you meet Cabel, who is also dealing with his problems. I really liked Cabel as a character. He was always there for Janie pretty much no matter what all through the 3 books, and even after knowing what will happen to Janie.
Fade, Cabel and Janie team up to tackle a sexual predator that is lurking in their high school. Beware there is some rape involved.
Gone, Janie finds her father in a coma, and is able to somewhat talk to him through dreams. I have to say, after reading the back I thought it was going to be one of those books where Janie leaves Cabel and sulks for a few months and finally realizes she needs Cabe blah blah blah. Though I was happy it wasn't like that...entirely.  Pretty much I thought it was going to be like Eclipse in the Twilight Saga, I almost skipped this third book, but glad I didn't. It was a nice read.
Overall I give all 3 books 3 1/2 stars.

I'm mainly attracted to YA and some paranormal romance, such as Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series.

And so, let the reading begin!!
